The superior WineKeeper Modular Wine Cellar offers the best insulation and manufacturing on the market.  Customized wine cold storage rooms are built as a standard sized kit or custom designed according to the exact specifications of the customer. All panels meet the new EISA laws regulating cooled rooms at 55 degrees or cooler. By utilizing the highest quality materials, these manufactured rooms provide the ultimate in flexible design configuration, quality, and ease of assembly.

Specifications

General

Our Winekeeper Cellars also called Wine Lockers or Wine Vault or Walk-ins shall be constructed of prefab, precision-formed, modular panels designed for accurate, rapid field assembly. Lockers shall be test assembled at the factory.

Drawings and Instructions

Each Wine Cellar shall have a set of installation instructions and layout drawing. All panels shall have panel identification corresponding with the layout drawing to facilitate rapid and accurate field erection.

Panel Construction

Each panel shall consist of inner and outer metal skins, a 4" insulation core and be equipped with cam-action locking devices. The locking devices shall be operable from inside the walk-in and a hex-shaped wrench shall be supplied. Press-fit plug buttons shall be provided to seal wrench holes after assembly is complete. Construction shall be as approved by the National Sanitation Foundation International and shall bear the NSF® Seal of Approval.

All panels shall be connected to one another by placing the tongue of the insulation core of one panel into the groove of the core insulation of the adjacent panel. The resultant tongue and groove joint shall be sealed at both sides by double barreled NSF® approved gaskets. In order to avoid future swelling and mold formation, no wood shall be permitted in the manufacture of the tongue and groove panel profile. Designer metal colors are available.

Floor Screeds

Floor screeds shall be provided for all floorless units. The screeds shall be vinyl, and have NSF® approved cove both inside and out.

Panel Finish

Metal finish of the panels shall be as follows. Interior or exterior walls, and ceilings • black stucco embossed galvanized is standard

** In addition to our standard Galvanized black metal finish, We are able to offer 20  different  smooth metal colors for the exterior of your Wine Room. You can design your Wine Cellar to blend in or become the focal point of your room. There is an additional charge of $850 for these metal colors, please be sure to select from the options for your color.

Insulation

Extruded Polystyrene: All wall and ceiling insulation shall be 4” thick, high quality, rigid extruded polystyrene, 1.6 lb density. K factor of not more than .139 and an R factor of not less than 7.2 per inch, initial fresh R-28.8 minimum total wall R factor. Vapor transmission shall be less than 1 perm and foam core material must meet UL 5 flame spread rating with average smoke rating less than 165. (UL 723)(UL 723)

Racking - Shelving

Wine racks and custom shelving options available.  Each Wine Room has 2 design options for you to choose from:

• Style 1 - To maximize storage we rack all 3 walls with a combination of individuals with angle display, true radius curved corners,  diamond bin, and storage for Magnums, Champagnes, Bordeaux, Pinots, Chardonnays and Burgundy bottles.  You can store other size bottles on the top bulk storage above the racks.
• Style 2 - Offers a very attractive layout to showcase your wine cellar.  Racking all 3 walls with true radius curve corners, individual racking, diamond bin, table top and archway.  Giving you storage for Magnums, Champagnes, Bordeaux, Pinots, Chardonnays and Burgundy bottles.  More storage and bulk storage for other size bottles on the top above the racks.

• Custom Option - If you are interested in a custom racking design created especially for your wine room, contact us.  We will create a CAD for your to approve based on your particular needs.

Cooling Systems - Refrigiration 

You have several options when it comes to cooling systems.  Here are several detailed options that would work for this size wine cellar and capacity;  Pre-assembled indoor remote refrigeration system, medium temperature, 1 phase, 1/4 horsepower, hermetic 115 volt, includes Copeland condensing unit. Does not include refrigerant.

Wall mounted cooling system - The Cellarpro 1800 XTS model can be mounted through the upper area of the wall panel and vents out to adjacent room.  You can place the cooling unit on the right, left, or back panel.   During your order, please confirm where you would like to vent to so production can properly cut out that panel for the cooler to slide through.  The cooler will come with a condensate drain line that runs out the back of the grill.  You should have at least 3 ft of clearance from the cooling unit vent to allow for proper airflow.  We suggest the ambient temperature should not exceed more than 95 degrees continuously since the cooling unit takes in the fresh air.  The dimensions of this cooler are 18"W x 16.5"D x 10.5"H and weighs 60 lbs. ***  Drain lines needs to be field installed. Does not include refrigerant - r404a. Warranty on CP-1800XTS - 2 year full warranty parts and labor and additional 3 years on parts.
 

Remote cooling system - The Bohn cooling unit is ideal if you do not want to have the cooling unit installed inside the wine vault.  Here is an image of the cooling coil that gets mounted to the ceiling of your wine vault.  The Bohn  is pre-assembled inside remote refrigeration system, medium temperature, 1 phase, 1/4 hp, hermetic, 115 volt.  Includes condensing unit, evaporator coil, thermostatic expansion valve, sight glass, dier, solenoid valve and thermostat.  Warranty on Bohn Cooling Unit - 1 year part and compressor and 4 years on parts only.
